THE MWANAMWENGE FOUNDATION

The Mwanamwenge Foundation has been founded to aid the development of communities in Zambia. The foundation supports and stimulates local initiatives and (small) projects in the area of public healthcare. Our main goal is to give schooling opportunities to children, specifically to enable them to follow an education in healthcare. For this purpose we found a nursing and midwifery school in Chilonga.

When a diploma is obtained, the students work for 3 years in their village or area of origin. The district's chief will provide this. This way, young Zambians get a chance to study and learn a profession whilst improving healthcare in the rural areas. A very practical and useful combination. Investment in their future is investing in life. This is how we make a difference.. we make the differences between us.. smaller!

The foundation is founded in The Netherlands in cooperation with active Zambians in this area.
